Q: Why are your prices so much lower then the national chains?

A: The short answers is we don't have a 50 million dollar advertising
budget. A little longer answer includes we are a family owned and
operated business. Bob worked at US steel for 30 years, Wanda ran
several small business, and Dane worked in several office jobs. We
understand how hard you work for your money and offer are service
for a fair price. We don't pay a CEO, CFO, CTO, CCO, board
members, managers and directors; we don't pay a guy to stand on
the corner and dance in costume and we don't rent expensive
storefronts that sit empty over 6 months of the year. For those
reasons above we are able to charge a fee that is nearly 50% less
then the national chains.

Q: Why don't you do the return while I wait?

A: We treat every return like our own. We would not want are return
rushed through and we wouldn't do it to yours. Most returns are done,
doubled check and ready for pick up the next day. And because of the
IRS schedule for refunds one or two days extra to properly prepare a
return most times will not delay your refund.

Q: Who does my return at Lafata Tax Service and how
knowledgeable are they?

A: One of four people will prepare your return. Wanda Lafata, Robert
Lafata, Dane Lafata, or Lacey Lafata. Wanda has been doing tax for
over 30 years she is an expert in trusts, real estate and small
business. She regularly attends tax seminars. Robert has been
doing taxes for over 30 years he is a expert in business returns, k-1's,
and real estate. Robert attends tax classes often. Dane has been
preparing tax for over 10 years and is an expert in small business and
rental property. Lacey has been preparing tax for 3 years and spent
several years as a checker at Lafata Tax Service. She is an expert in
education credits and the teachers deduction. All of your prepares
have taken tax classes with national chains and passed in the top of
the class with over a 90% (to work at a national chain they must have
a 70%) In fact When Dane last took the class he found an error on
their final exam. Ask him about it he loves to tell the story. The four
prepares eat, sleep, and breath taxes. We spend all year reading and
